Come and enjoy an exciting range of school holiday activities with Stars on Ice’s pop-up mobile ice skating rink in Hargreaves Mall and Electric Wonderland in Rosalind Park, both opening this Friday.
Take a turn on the impressive ice skating rink located in the middle of Hargreaves Mal measuring 25 metres x 10 metres with 100mm of ice. It will be open daily, 10am – 9pm until Sunday July 14 and skate sessions run for 45 minutes and start on the hour. The last session is at 8pm.
Ticket prices include skate hire and will cost $24 adult (16 years and above), $19 child/concession (6-15 years), $15 toddler (2-5 years), $68 family (2 adults/2 children or 1 adult/3 children), groups of 10 or more is $18 per person and penguin pal hire (to help new skaters find their feet) is $10.

The popular Electric Wonderland is back in Rosalind Park with an exciting new program for family fun after dark from this Friday, June 28 until Sunday July 14.
Electric Wonderland has unique installations to celebrate the Lunar Year of the Dragon, a 40m replica of Sacred Heart Cathedral with thousands of heart-shaped fairy lights, laser lights, interactive pathways, illuminated sculptures and a magical garden. Electric Wonderland will be open daily, Sunday to Thursday 6pm to 9pm, and Friday and Saturday 6pm to 10pm with peak and off peak prices.
Off peak is Sunday to Thursday: $50 family (2 adults and 2 children), free for under 2s, $11 for 3 to 16 years and 16-plus and adults are $20. People are encouraged to book session times online to ensure you don’t miss out as this event will run for two weeks only. Tickets purchased on the gate will be for session times not sold out online. City Manager Tourism and Major Events Terry Karamaloudis said there were lots of fun and exciting activities to entertain residents and visitors of all ages during the winter school holidays.
“Get your skates on for the ice rink in Hargreaves Mall and glide on 100mm of ice for school holiday experience with a difference,” Mr Karamaloudis said.
“Stars on Ice have skates for all sizes and push along penguins for novices so everyone can have a go. Book your sessions so you don’t miss out on this unique experience in the Mall,” Mr Karamaloudis said.
“After dark, head to Rosalind Park and be immersed in Electric Wonderland which has become a must-see attraction that is reimagined each year.
“This year, be mesmerised by large scale illuminated sculptures, a stunning 40m replica of Sacred Heart Cathedral, a magical garden, interactive pathways, a fantastic laser show to explore and much more.
“Produced by a local company audio-visual specialist Power AV, Electric Wonderland is a paid ticketed event. You are encouraged to plan and book online to enjoy this superb night activation which is very different program from last year. Don’t miss out as this event in the park will only run during the school holidays.
“While you’re out in the city centre with family or friends, this is also an opportunity to support local hospitality businesses before or after events if you can.”
Many hospitality traders will be open for business including Heavenly Melts, Hudson Coffee, The Original Pie Shop and Toppers Café in Hargreaves Mall.
